USB2 and cheap. I use these to carry files to my workshop cad machines, the conductive dust in the room is not great for electronics cooled by fans... Saving large files, they run at 12.5mb/s. Reading large files I'm seeing 20.6mb/s.These are genuine parts.I fully test all flash memory. I find fake parts on Amazon hidden under overly cheap priced parts. To start with, ALL cheap usb sticks from Amazon get tested for CAPACITY because so many fakes come from unreputable sellers from China that have less capacity than your computer thinks it has... and Amazon refuses to police their sellers selling fake flash parts. The way a fake flash part works, the seller takes a super cheap part with small capacity, like 4 meg, but they put code and formatting on the chip so that is acts like a 128g flash, reporting 128g of free space. When you put data on the drive, it works until you try to exceed 4 megs of files, then it fails. Essentially they are inflating the capacity of the flash by 32000 times. And they hope you are outside of the return window before you find out, or the cost of the return is more than you paid so you don't return it.What makes it worse, people review things before they know they are real, so they happily give the part a 5 star review because it was cheap and seems to work when it is empty. So rest assured that I took several flash sticks and filled them up and then pulled all of the files back off, confirming full capacity and function. After testing, I wanted to mark them for capacity since they had no marking... I did not want to use the included 32gig stickers, instead I ran them through my laser, burning a bold "32 Jigabytes" on both sides of the metal cover.
