I was looking for soft matte finish hangers as they seem to add a slight non-slip characteristic, but these are not that. They are not super shiny however, and otherwise are terrific hangers. The plastic is sturdy, yet somewhat flexible, slim and space-saving. The hook is also sturdy, turns easily and is well-attached to the plastic. Since I haven't been able to find the soft finish anymore (anywhere), these are the next best thing. Velvet finish hangers are great for some things, but I find the high surface friction annoying with garments that don't need non-slip. For me, the value for money was good.
